Schedule of Competitive Classes

The Schedule of Competitive Classes and Horticultural and Floral Art entry forms (see download button below) and the Photography Exhibition will be available for the 2027 in December 2026.

Entering Competitive Classes

It is free to enter exhibits in the competitive classes and you do not have to be a member of the CGS in order to do so.

Here is a step-by-step guide:

• Read through the Schedule and decide which classes you would like to enter. If you require advice, contact the Entries Secretary who will put you in touch with a relevant expert
• Take a walk around your garden about a month before the Show and if you decide to exhibit, complete the online Horticultural Classes Entry Form. If you are unable to do this, please email showentries@cornwallgardensociety.org.uk
• We will confirm your entry and provide an Exhibitor’s Number, which will give you free entry to the Show
• For Floral Art, please complete the separate online Entry Form. If you are unable to do this, please call Pat Knight on 07496 542584
• If two or more family members would like to enter then please use separate Entry Forms
• Please read the Terms and Conditions in the Schedule carefully and make sure that you return your Entry Form by the deadline of Wednesday 18th March 2026.

Kindly note that, in line with RHS guidance, the use of oasis is banned in ALL our competitive classes.

Entering Photography

• Images can be either black and white or colour, and may be edited to obtain the best results
• The format may be square, landscape or portrait and images must be submitted as jpegs
• The image size should be a minimum of 1920 pixels or 33cm along the long edge at 144 pixels per inch (ppi). Any modern camera phone will easily produce images of this size, but please do not reduce the size before emailing
• Up to three images per person may be submitted by email to photography@cornwallgardensociety.org.uk before the closing date of Wednesday 18th March 2026. Please include your name and contact details in your covering note
• Copyright in the images supplied for this purpose remains with the photographer but the CGS reserves the right to display any images received for publicity purposes and on social media free of charge, subject to including the photographer’s credit with the image
• As this is an exhibition, not a competition, exhibitors will not be provided with free tickets for the Spring Flower Show
• Images will not be returned.
