Zoom Lecture for CGS Members: Gardening with Disabilities/Growing Older by Andrew Oldham

Andrew Oldham is a professional garden writer as well as a passionate advocate for disability rights in gardening and for making growing your own accessible to all.

After a spinal accident in his 20s, he was prescribed gardening to aide his recovery and he has never looked back.

Andrew has worked with clients such as Sarah Raven, BBC Gardeners’ World Live and the RHS to promote growing and the Gardening for Disabled Trust to highlight the positives of gardening for mental wellbeing.

He has also written for Sainsbury’s Magazine, Kitchen Garden and The Guardian, and has been an Ask the Expert for Grow Your Own.

Andrew is also a time-travelling garden blogger about his family’s Dig for Victory and Victorian gardens (www.lifeonpigrow.co.uk). Their blog has reached half a million people in ten years and engages 150,000 people each month via social media.

Andrew also campaigns on sustainability and climate change.
