Chygurno is a three-acre garden, perched on the edge of the ocean, which contains a striking range of vibrant species, from hardy exotics to succulent species from the Southern Hemisphere. By contrast, lower down, rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and bluebells abound.
The present garden has been planted into a maze of steep pathways with steps and terraces cut into the rocks. How the garden has been developed and maintained with its steep gradient has clearly been a fascinating challenge.
