Alex Goodyear is a professional horticulturist and Head Gardener at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, near Penzance.
After studying horticulture for four years as an apprentice at Duchy College Rosewarne, Alex relocated to the Isles of Scilly to train on the scholarship programme at Tresco Abbey Garden. This fostered his love of sub-tropical flora and led to a three-month bursary internship in South Africa at Babylonstoren.
Alex’s lectures for the CGS will recap on his incredible experiences in the Western Cape and reveal the many gardens he visited and botanical highlights he encountered whilst exploring this biodiverse hotspot.
