The Cornwall Garden Society’s 2021/2022 Lecture Series concludes with talks by Charlotte Harris and Hugo Bugg from Harris Bugg Studio, the award-winning landscape design practice based in Devon and London that encompasses residential, public, historic, botanic, protected and commercial spaces.

Plaudits for Harris Bugg Studio’s work include multiple Royal Horticultural Society (RHSChelsea Gold medals and an RHS Best in Show. Their most recent RHS Chelsea Gold was awarded for the pocket park garden they designed for event sponsor, M&G, in September 2021.

Cited as one of the top garden design practices by Country Life and House & GardenArchitectural Digest recently described the spaces that Harris Bugg Studio make as “…soulful gardens that are rich with meaning, mystery and relevance.”

Creating Gardens with a Sense of Place will be the subject of their lectures on Tuesday 8th March at 7.30pm at The Alverton in Truro and on Wednesday 9th March at 2.30pm at Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth.

Hugo Bugg and Charlotte Harris will share with us how they delve into narratives, sensitivities and the spirit of a place to create gardens and landscapes with many layers to peel back.

From small city spaces to large public gardens, they will share projects and thoughts on how they feel this approach forges authentic, grounded, resonant places for clients, whilst nurturing the creativity of everyone at Harris Bugg Studio.

These lectures are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome to attend to find out more about the Society and donations are gratefully received.
